I’m a qualified personal trainer, fitness and food lover, traveler and freelance writer.
But I wasn’t always an advocate for a healthy lifestyle. The LAST thing I wanted to do was be outside playing sport, let alone do a workout! I couldn’t even run a mile and I’d happily live on a diet of burgers and pizza.
Actually, I was pretty clueless when it came to healthy living in general.
But somewhere along the line, that changed. For me there was no ‘aha’ moment. I just knew I wanted to be healthy, not feel limited by my lack of fitness and learn which foods best fueled my body.
So I started learning and man was I overwhelmed! The fitness industry is flooded with contradictory information, unrealistic expectations and empty promises.
If being healthy meant HAVING to go to the gym for 1 hour, 5 days a week, cut out all carbs and survive on salads for the rest of my life, COUNT ME OUT! There HAD to be a better way!
It shouldn’t be that hard to be healthy!
So I set out to design my own healthy lifestyle. One that I TRULY loved. Now it’s my mission to empower YOU with the knowledge you need to choose your own healthy path.
I believe YOU deserve to be informed, inspired and empowered when it comes to your own health.
I also believe:
- Knowledge is power
- There are no shortcuts in fitness and health
- Moderation is harder than deprivation
- You should ALWAYS keep trying and changing until you find what you love in life
- Small progress is still progress
If the idea of being healthy is to live better for longer, then shouldn’t we make it awesomely fun?!?
